I don’t have a DVD Player
DVD discs are great for long-term storage. Our discs have a factory advised lifespan of 50 years plus. They are made using Japanese dyes which give a high quality product. If you choose our Premier transfer then you get the best-quality discs which are perfect for home movies and anything of importance. We no longer use DVD’s as much in our lives. Netflix and Amazon Prime have changed how we watch new TV series and movies. Iplayer is a great way to catch up on content we have missed. So what is next after DVD’s?
USB Sticks (memory sticks)
Using a memory stick (USB stick) or pen drive is the next evolution of digital storage. Orion Media can take those DVD’s you have created from your old vhs video tapes and camcorder tapes and turn them into computer files. These can be stored on a memory stick (which we can supply) and played on your TV. We know most people use several devices and a memory stick is great for playing in your smart TV, computer, games console, tablet and smartphone. You can buy little adaptors that stick in your phone’s charger port and then insert the memory stick into the adapter. This lets you look at your video clips that have been created from your vhs tapes and camcorder tapes on your smartphone or tablet. Even if you don’t have a smart TV, most DVD players will have a usb slot so you can insert your memory stick into the dvd player and view them on the TV. The price to convert from DVD to a computer file is £5 per disc. If you have more than 10 tapes the price is reduced to £4 per disc.
